Pop art and colage was exemplified by the late Richard Hamilton and true to form, the above is his take on self-portraiture. I'm ambivalent towards this form of art as there is so much rubbish masquerading as 'art' However, I do feel most of Hamilton's work is visually intriguing and interesting. I'm a simple man of simple pleasure, I simply like the best that life can provide. No doubt now after his death, his work will attain vast valuations! I first came to know his name when I discovered he was the designer of the Beatles White Album. A true minimalist piece of work if ever there was.
