Fleet Town

A challenge I decided to set for myself was to photograph the ordinary in a visually interesting way. Instead of heading to the big city and the architectural and social images that abounds there, I instead headed for my local town. A town much like any other, not particularly known for any visual architectural excellence or great social vibe. A high street populated by the usual generic chain stores all bisected by a busy main trunk road. Not an easy task then. How to make all this blandness appealing and interesting? But everything always looks better at night. Right? These are the first results, I need to go back for more. There is a nearby and very pretty canal that by association helps the area. So that's an obvious choice for a picture or two. And why not?
