Last week a man joined a group of maybe sixteen people to do a sky-dive. An experienced sky-diver, yet not one person noticed him missing as they all collected their gear and went home at the end of the dive. He was found a week later, dead in a field, his chute un-opened. If ever I needed it, this story reminded me that this time of year is the very worst for any who are lonely and isolated. Self-employed and apparently a loner, the poor guy obviously couldn't face it. Spare a thought for those unhappy and alone.
This little angel sits on our tree on the window cill. It's a very small tree and a very small angel but it's a terrifically high-tech fibre-optic tree!
