Heathrow

It's hard to believe that within only a handful of miles of the world's busiest international airport, exists an area of outstanding beauty and tranquility. Well, near tranquility.

With aircraft taking off and landing on two runways simultaneously every two minutes, it's a relative term when you're this close. If that wasn't enough, the air corridor above Heathrow is just as busy.

In this shot, two Westbound planes meet a solitary Eastbound aircraft. The blue skies are often so covered by vapour trails it becomes overcast.
