Garden Blooms

On Sunday, rather appropriately, the sun made a brief appearance. In the late afternoon, the sunlight was soft and warm and almost like, well, summer. Needless to say it's raining again today.

Three small flies were taking the opportunity to sunbathe on this Lily, but they are so small I didn't see them until I opened the image later. The soft backlighting shows the delicacy of the petals well I think. As for the Orchid, I can never seem to get a good shot of this flower as it always appears too 'busy' to my eye. It really needs to be photographed in isolation from its background.

That's It Folks!

The gate is now shut. With no one around, it's time to turn off the lights and leave. It's been fun and maybe one day someone will...
