Tai Chi

One more from the set of pictures taken of Chinese residents doing their Tai Chi exercises at dawn. Here I wanted to try and show that not-quite-dark atmosphere of pre-dawn. So the picture is not as bright as perhaps the histogram would insist, but hopefully the mood comes through better.

Using a heavy crop of the image, maybe 60% or more, so as to better highlight the woman's face which, being full of those wonderful lines of life, is  worth showing in as much detail as possible.   (Even though, could she see this picture, she'd probably disagree...)

I so like the way the first rays of sunlight are highlighting the side of her face in such a subtle manner.

Leica M9, 35mm Summicron f2, 1/350sec, 400asa.

That's It Folks!

The gate is now shut. With no one around, it's time to turn off the lights and leave. It's been fun and maybe one day someone will...
