World Press Photo Awards

These are four of my favourite pictures from the World Press Photo Awards. On their site you can click on a picture and view more related shots and information.

The top shot, of the North Korean dictator's portrait lit up by a spotlight while everything else is in darkness is astonishing, summing up the whole story of the country in one shot.

The haunted expression of the woman in the car being driven away, is especially chilling, while the traumatised girl sitting amongst the debris is heartbreaking.

And rugby shot? Steaming, raw masculinity at play!
