Parhelion


I can't remember ever seeing these 'sun-dogs' in the sky. But these were very clear and bright and looked spectacular. Like the Eye of God. So I looked it up and it seems this phenomena is caused by ice crystals sinking in vertical alignment in the high atmosphere.
