Winter Lake

On a rare winter day, the wind can drop away and the air can become still, chilled and clear. Ice-crystals high in the atmosphere transform the sunlight which is filtered and scattered in unique ways. This shot doesn't really capture that sense of cold calmness and etherial light, but maybe it suggests a little of that feeling.

The colour here in this shot really isn't true or balanced, the actual scene being far more muted and soft. Delightful in life, but in a photo  it just looks flat and uninspiring.

That's It Folks!

The gate is now shut. With no one around, it's time to turn off the lights and leave. It's been fun and maybe one day someone will...
