As the financial collapse gathers pace, we might all be redundant soon. I took this shot of a young man aged about 17 back in 1969, not long after he heard his services would no longer be required. His despondency seemed to be reflected in the dilapidated station buildings where he worked. I hope he fared better in the intervening years since then.
