'King Crimson - I talk to the Wind'
Once upon a time, the phrase 'modern times' was full of hope for the future. Now, with a new Crimson King rising in the East and fundamentalism and polarisation taking hold everywhere, it looks more medieval than modern. The novel 1984 was a little before its time and now we are in the domain of the 21st Century Schizoid Man.
A Spirit on the Water with a renewed sense of acceptance of differences and empathy is urgently needed - as much personally as politically - in all quarters of the world. We can but hope and talk to the wind as that fictional Santa rode so recently above us distributing gifts and cheer. We can but Dream.
Try not to eat too many Savoy Truffles, and Let's Be Bold, Art is our voice, and the photographs are the drawings that tell the story of our times.
Visual art and music seem to me to be very much intertwined, each breathing life into the other, and both are universally appreciated at some level. So, I can but hope you enjoy the songs I have added as the orange links in the above text.
