Album Cover

A group of local lads I know are building a good following locally in the clubs and pubs, performing a mixture of their original songs with cover versions of sixties and seventies classics. Meet 'TheRigbys'.

I had suggested several months ago I'd be happy to do a promo shot for them, but it's taken this long for them to get together to take a few shots. In the wettest summer for years, I was hoping for rain soaked streets to bring a little bit of urban mood to the shots. As it turned out, the day was sunny... typical.

So I took them to an underpass, attempting to re-create a little seventies grunge in the 'look' or feel. The mixed lighting of daylight and fluorescent in the tunnel gives a suitably sickly feel and I think they are pretty happy with how it all turned out. Hand held, using the Leica M9 with 35mm Summicron.

That's It Folks!

The gate is now shut. With no one around, it's time to turn off the lights and leave. It's been fun and maybe one day someone will...
