Pond Works

Since the heavy rains washed a lot of soil into the pond, the nutrients have made the algae explode into life. So I currently have lovely green water. Not helped by my UV filter lamp going bang but, as soon as the replacement arrives it will help zap the green away. Still need more plants to soften the rockery and perhaps a few less LED lights. (I kinda got carried away when I found them at only a pound a light).

No sign of the pesky Heron, the fish seem happy to feed on the surface so I don't think he's been back yet.   I really need to install a string wall around the sides in case he does. Here's a picture of a Heron eating a worryingly large fish, so they are capable of eating just about anything.

That's It Folks!

The gate is now shut. With no one around, it's time to turn off the lights and leave. It's been fun and maybe one day someone will...
