Farm Sentinel


Just over the lane from the previous shot, was this large tree-trunk placed over the entrance to the field to stop people driving inside. With the dramatic clouds and large empty field, I was reminded slightly of the Great Plains in North and South Dakota. So I've tried to recreate a little of that feeling using monochrome and contrast. Shot in colour with no filters and then desaturated and tweaked, I think it works pretty well. No cowboys or Indians around though ...
Leica M9 with 35mm Summicron, hand -held, F.11, 160asa, 1/350sec.
