Jason Evans over at his web site The Clarity of Night, has been running a short, (250 word) writing contest for some years now. I've entered a few contests but never come close, the standard is very high. This year won't be any different, but that's not really the point. The fun is in creating something, a little world, in only 250 words. That's the point. It's a challenge especially as I'm rusty not having written anything for months. This years contest is called Elemental and the stories should be inspired by the above picture as well as by the title. So for what it's worth, here is my entry, The Wall. Wish me luck!
