Night Hawks

Getting up at 2am to go into town looking for a more interesting view on a well worn subject is difficult. Usually because when the alarm goes off, it seems a much better idea to stay in bed. However, having agreed to go together with a friend, it meant I really did have to get out of bed. So we found ourselves in London between 3am and 5am looking for some interesting pictures. It was a slightly foggy and a very still night which made all the difference pictorially. Was it worth it? Two or three of the shots turned out ok so I think so, and if the weather is interesting, I'll probably do it again.

South bank of the Thames taken on the Leica M9 and 35mm at f.8 with a 20 second exposure.

  1. I like this, and it may well be something I'll not see in person. (Better you than I at that hour, Peter.) Beautiful photo.

  2. Yes, it's a bit scary at that time of night...

That's It Folks!

The gate is now shut. With no one around, it's time to turn off the lights and leave. It's been fun and maybe one day someone will...
